Join me at HUMAN NATURE FESTIVAL 2015for fastFWD: Fusion Foundations at the FOREST STAGE!
Learn foundational movements of fusion bellydance, including a nod to hip hop, a wink to house dance, and a tip of the hat to burlesque performance styles. Movements are broken down and easy-to-digest, and culminate in a short choreography you can take with you to practice, remember the skills you’ve learned, and make your own!
For experienced dancers, this workshop will give them another perspective on movement and musical interpretation. For beginners, it will give them a quick lesson on some of the core muscle groups they never knew they could control, and how to use those muscles to elicit some super-cool and fun movements when they go out to dance later. For everyone, it’ll be an encouraging and down-to-earth moment of movement meditation; an opportunity to allow muscle memory to take over and feel, rather than hear, the music in their bodies.
