See ya in the dust. =)
I plan to give out at least 100 piece of promotional material this month, and drink at least 40 ounces of water each day. I'll also be DJing at multiple events (woot) and plan to make at least one article of clothing. I'd make more plans regarding things I'll be doing on-the-daily, but knowing that I'll be going to Burningman means that, not only will I not be home every day, but many of those days will be spent GAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHing.
See ya in the dust. =)

Join me at HUMAN NATURE FESTIVAL 2015for fastFWD: Fusion Foundations at the FOREST STAGE! Learn foundational movements of fusion bellydance, including a nod to hip hop, a wink to house dance, and a tip of the hat to burlesque performance styles. Movements are broken down and easy-to-digest, and culminate in a short choreography you can take with you to practice, remember the skills you’ve learned, and make your own! For experienced dancers, this workshop will give them another perspective on movement and musical interpretation. For beginners, it will give them a quick lesson on some of the core muscle groups they never knew they could control, and how to use those muscles to elicit some super-cool and fun movements when they go out to dance later. For everyone, it’ll be an encouraging and down-to-earth moment of movement meditation; an opportunity to allow muscle memory to take over and feel, rather than hear, the music in their bodies. This year's theme: Summer
Congrats again to Jeremy and Christy on their daughter, Amber Trillium, born Oct 2014. If you've ever made the trek to Bend, you know that it's a Wild West city, with tons of outdoor sports and lots of history. You may not know that it has a rockin' good venue called the Astro Lounge, where I had the pleasure of opening for iLKo and GUDA last Friday night. I started my set a little early and topped out at 1.75 hours before GUDA took the reigns. It was the first time I'd ever seen the dance floor packed within the first 20 minutes of music starting. Y'all Bend folks really dug it, and I dug your energy.
I'll let you know when I'm back! Come see me Thursday night at the Lovecraft Bar for an H.P. Lovecraft-influenced Bastille-day themed Burlesque show called Burlynomicon! I'll be there with my other Bridgetown Revue beauties, along with special guest Bettie Bomber, all the way from Aussie-land.
If you're lucky enough to make it to Bend on Friday, come to the Astro Lounge where I'll be spinning some sexy bass to open up the night for iLKo and Guda. So much fun! I plan on spending this weekend in a hot tub at the beach, or practicing my set, or rehearsing some french goth strip tease. You're welcome. 1. DJ
