Two months ago (ish) I started learning to DJ, f'reals.  

Last night I had my first paid DJ gig!  There weren't a ton of people, but there were about 10-15 more than usual (that's, like, 300% more than usual I might add).  It wasn't without its challenges, but the absolute DELIGHT that I feel, getting to hear music on a big sound system with great lights and a big dance floor and friends, to be able to dance...and to hear only my favorite songs?  PRICELESS.  I couldn't get to sleep for hours, my face still smiling.  I could do this forever...or at least, for a while longer.

No more Christmas for another year!  Nine months until we have to hear more 24hr Christmas music or begin to feel the silent, sharp, pervasive fear of stress, anxiety, guilt, shame regarding family, gifts, food, money, and time off work!  HOORAY!

Now let's start planning something AMAZING for 2015, oui?

A couple days 'til the biggest American holiday of the year.

Woo?

I'll be spending it driving from one end of the Portland Metro area to the other, visiting my small disapora of a family.  Boyfriend is in another state.  I don't even celebrate Christmas or gift the slightest s*** about what it stands for, but though I'm glad to have the day off work, I'm really displeased to have to work today, tomorrow, and Friday.  My car is in the shop for another week.  I wish I was eight years old again.  Hell, I wish I even had time to make a Christmas List let alone the hope that I'd be able to obtain anything on it.

So anyway, instead of this I'm going to try to focus on the things that I'm pleased with from 2014 and ways to improve myself further next year.
