It happened. I didn't do my 30 on Friday the 10th.
However, rather than being disappointed in myself: reframe! This is a great big ol' BONUS DAY that I have earned through my discipline, hard work, tenacity, ambitiousness, enthusiasm, and use of the thesaurus.
...and the fact that I started this 30-day challenge days earlier than I had to, so like, I'd banked a few days to play with.
(Also, I had worked out at the gym for 30, but I'm not counting that)
Yesterday, Day 11, I played sewing hermit and created myself shiny objects - but not after getting up in the morning to drive to Home Depot -- for the fourth time on this flooring project -- to acquire "molding". Or maybe it's "moulding" but quite frankly I'm not sure I care about this one. Although I was under the impression that this trip would only require some strips of that trim you shove in the corner between your new floors and the wall... it turns out that you also need 14 accessories and 5 tools to do the job.
This is as ridiculous as crafting, and now I finally understand.
Months and 5 trips to the 'Depot later, and I now know the difference between a miter (sp? psh.) and a hack and a skil saw, and I wish I had that time and brain space back. It'll be worth it to have concluded this project, turning our Bonus Room into an exceptionally sparkly sleek place to practice dancing, choreographing, teaching, and spinning my fans.
And dropping them, and whacking myself with them, and throwing them repeatedly.
I've added a couple new drills to the 30-minute drill sequence I wrote for myself at the beginning of the year, and I plan to get me some o' dem newfangled "spinning" fans soon.. so in the meantime, I've got sore forearms, and on the 1/8 attempt at crown spins that I don't drop them, I look badass.
